                          踐行楓葉英語質量標準,打造高效課堂 ——平湖楓葉國際學校第五屆“楓紅杯”大賽課英語組

                          為提升教師專業素養,提高教師教育教學水平,搭建一個互相交流、探討、展示的平臺。我校舉行了第五屆“楓紅杯”大賽課。一年一度的楓紅杯大賽課英語組以“踐行楓葉英語質量標準,打造高效課堂”為主題,老師們的精彩表現大家好奇嘛?

                          In order to improve teachers' professional quality and the teaching ability, to build a platform for mutual exchange, discussion and presentation. Our school held The Fifth Maple Leaf CupTeaching Ability Contest. Now Let's see how our English teachers did in the competition.

                           

                          蔣骍瑞老師的課題是 When do you use a computer, 這是一堂英語閱讀課。教學設計以學生的生活展開,圍繞課文主線,讓學生通過泛讀,精讀,多次閱讀后能夠對課文文本有深入的理解與認識。同時,通過精心設計的習題,讓學生在每一次閱讀中都能夠有任務,有方向的去閱讀。課堂末,Chase老師又通過表格復述課文和班級調查的方式讓整堂課得到了升華。整節課下來,學生課堂學習氛圍濃厚,在閱讀中體會到了學習英語的樂趣,同時也學會了許多關于電腦的知識。

                          The topic of Chase’s demo class is ‘ When do you use a computer’, which is an reading class. Based on students’ life, the teacher designed various activities to stimulate students’ interest in reading with the help of extensive and intensive reading. At the end of the class, teacher Chase asked students to retell the passage, after which students made a survey on the use of computer at home. The whole class, to some degree, was a success, which not only made students experience the joy of English, but learn more knowledge about PC as well.

                           

                          翁婷婷老師帶我們走進字母樂園,以一首愉快的Alphabet song導入教學。一起讀一讀教室里面的字母墻,看看下一個是哪個字母,從而自然導入到本節課的內容,字母Mm。Letter name, letter shape,letter shape 分三部分,循序漸進展開教學,層層鋪墊。將3個有關的,以Mm為首字母的單詞串聯成一個扣人心弦的故事,迅速吸引學生融入課堂并參與互動,然后讓孩子們角色扮演,演一演小故事,最后再在四線格里面寫一寫字母,畫一畫單詞。Rachel老師在課堂中注重借助眼神交流,生動的肢體語言及積分評價機制激發學生學習興趣,讓學生在形式多樣的學習中輕松感知意義,習得語言,主動思考。

                          Teacher Rachel took us into the alphabet paradise and introduced a happy Alphabet song. Read the letter wall in the classroom together to see which letter is next, so as to naturally import the content of this lesson, the letter Mm. Letter name, letter shape, and letter shape are divided into three parts, and teaching is gradually progressed, paving the way for layers. Concatenate 3 related words with Mm as the first letter into an exciting story, quickly attract students into the classroom and participate in the interaction, and then let the children role-play, act out a short story, and finally write one in the four-line grid Write letters and draw words. Teacher Rachel pays attention to eye contact, vivid body language and integral evaluation mechanism to stimulate students' interest in learning, so that students can easily perceive meaning, acquire language and think actively in various forms of learning.

                           

                          周玲玲老師以闖關的形式開展了一節以Let's Play Together”為主題的會話課,學生們團結一心,一路披荊斬棘過四關:第一關“我會說”學生們一起認識公園器材的單詞;第二關“我會做”學生們根據老師的指令一起做運動;第三關“我會寫”,學生們化身為小記者去采訪自己小伙伴喜愛的運動并記錄下來;第四關“我展示”,為了讓大家更加了解互相的喜好,學生們積極提問并展示自己朋友的愛好。在這一節課中學生們不僅提高了英語聽說讀寫的能力,也懂得了運動有益身體健康,在玩耍時要注意安全的道理。

                          Teacher Zoe had a communication class with the theme of Lets Play Together. The students have united and passed the four challenges successfully. In the first challenge "I can speak", students learned the words of sports together. In the second challenge "I can do", students did the actions together according to the teacher's instructions. In the third challenge "I can write", students became little reporters to interview their friends and recorded it. In the fourth challenge "I can show", students actively asked questions and showed their friends' hobbies. In this class, the kids not only improved their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, but also learned that exercise is good for their health.

                           

                          方雪嬌老師這節課以 The very hungry caterpillar為讀本,帶孩子們走進了毛毛蟲破繭成蝶的故事。本節課以圖片導入,引導學生去描述How does the caterpillar look like?隨后通過老師的帶讀、學生的默讀及齊讀等多種閱讀策略,學生深入了解學習從卵、毛毛蟲、繭再到蝴蝶的生命循環,感受生命的偉大與神奇。在role play環節,Sherry 老師和同學一起扮演了毛毛蟲及一周所吃食物,同學們在歡快愉悅的氛圍中輕松流利的完成了故事復述。課堂的最后,老師帶著孩子一起升華主題,提升情感,在英語學習中感受毛毛蟲破繭成蝶的生命力,感悟生命來之不易,我們都應珍惜。

                          Sherry's lesson takes the children into the story of the caterpillar breaking into a butterfly. This lesson is imported with pictures to guide students to describe How does the caterpillar look like?. Then after teacher's reading and students reading , students deeply understand the life cycle of the eggs, caterpillars, dragonflies and butterflies. During the role play session, Sherry plays the role of the caterpillar with the students . At the end of the class, the teacher takes the child together to sublimate the theme of the story: life is hard-won. We should cherish it.

                           

                          葉香琴老師的課以How do you feel”為主題展開,Krystal老師以歌曲導入激發學生興趣,用圖片展示的方式讓學生學習理解并記憶關于情緒的詞匯。課堂中通過單詞游戲、獨立書寫及小組合作對話的方式,以學生為中心,有效的落實教學目標。同時引導學生認識到我們需要控制自己的情緒,用正確的方式表達。

                          Teacher Krystal's class is based on the theme of "How do you feel". Teacher Krystal uses an emotion song to stimulate students' interest and uses pictures to help students to understand vocabulary about emotions. In class, the teaching goals are effectively implemented through word games, independent writing and group cooperation. At the same time, Teacher Krystal guides students to realize that we need to control our emotions and express correctly.

                           

                          在王一娜老師的英語閱讀課Chinese Paper Art中,同學們用英文學習了中國的民間藝術,整節課以視頻采訪的形式展開,通過視頻中與剪紙藝術家的對話激發了學生們的興趣,進而開始文章的閱讀,課堂上,Tina老師注重學生們的思考和表達,從文章的結構入手,通過多種閱讀策略的結合,使學生們對文章有了深入的理解。課堂活動形式多樣,聽說讀寫相結合,學生們小組合作完成了三種不同類別剪紙的思維導圖,并能夠自信地進行介紹。通過這節課,同學們收獲的不僅僅是閱讀的策略,英文的表達,還有對于中國民間藝術以及中國傳統文化的思考。在這節課的最后,同學們還親自體驗,制作并介紹了自己的剪紙,師生共同完成了一節妙趣橫生的英語閱讀課。

                          In teacher Tinas reading class, students learn about the Chinese paper art in English. They start with a video of an interview with the paper art expert. Students are very interested in the Chinese paper cutting. Teacher Tina asks students to think critically in class and teaches them to use different reading strategies while reading. Students participate in many different kinds of activities in class. They finish a mind map with their group members and give presentations about it. They also try to make their own paper cuts at the end of the class. It is a fun class for students to learn English as well as the Chinese folk art.

                           

                          金凱洲老師的課題是——How can we classify animals,圍繞動物這個主題,Carol老師帶領孩子們一起來到“上海自然博物館”,通過創設情境和圖文資料讓學生們感受不同種類動物共同生存的環境。通過閱讀,層層遞進,將科學知識帶入英語課堂。學生們通過自主閱讀找到動物分類的依據,再小組合作中對5種脊椎動物的特征進行了分析。英語學習不僅是語言的習得,在Carol老師的課堂中,學生們也學會了科學知識。

                          Carol's topic is "How to classify animals".Carol led the children to the "Shanghai Museum of Natural History". By creating situation and graphic materials,students could experience the environment where different kinds of animals live together.Through reading, step by step, teacher Carol combine scientific knowledge with English.The students read independently to find the basis of animal classification, and in a group work, they analyzed the characteristics of five vertebrates.English learning is not just about language acquisition. In Carol's class, students also learn about English science.

                           

                          最后,英語中心主任王上雨在大賽課教研中進行了總結:1. 清晰的教學目標是完成教學任務的基本保障。四維教學目標的設定不僅要遵循課程質量標準,更要從學生的實際情況出發,符合他們的學習需求。2. 學會善用導學案。導學案可以很大程度上幫助老師和學生完成教學任務,通過導學案的反饋,教師可以捕捉到學生存在的問題,從而針對性的進行處理。

                          路漫漫其修遠兮,雖然本學期的大賽課結束了,但我們的教學之路從未停止。平湖楓葉英語中心的老師也將繼續踐行課程標準,繼續前行!

                          Last but not the least, ESL teaching center director Nash Wang had a conclusion for this competition1. A clear teaching goal is the basic guarantee for completing the teaching task. 2. Learn to make good use of the teaching plan.

                          Although the competition has over but the journey of teaching will never come to the end.
